Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey (may sub lean ground sirloin)
  • 4 portobello mushroom caps (gills removed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • optional: onion, tomato, lettuce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat
    Preheat grill to high.
  2. Rinse
    Rinse and slice vegetables.
  3. Combine
    Combine turkey, and seasonings in a medium-sized mixing bowl until spices are distributed evenly.
  4. From burgers
    Form turkey into four equal sized patties.
  5. Grill burgers
    Grill turkey burgers 5 minutes each side, flipping once.
  6. Gril portobello
    Grill portobello caps on high 3-4 minutes.
  7. Serve
    Serve the burger atop the mushroom cap with lettuce, tomato, and onion.
